Teachers and volunteers can ‘Board the Bus’ on July 18-19 to learn how to incorporate agricultural concepts into their curricula, network with fellow educators and obtain free resources for students and classrooms. Teachers of all grade levels and subject areas including home school parents and volunteers are encouraged to attend.
The tour will take place in Jefferson County and include the following stops: Hinchley’s Dairy Farm, Cambridge School District Severson Learning Center, Jones Market, Hoard Museum, Tyranena Brewery (requires that all visitors be at least 21 years of age), McKay Nursery, Rock River Lab, Berres Brothers Coffee, Mid-State Farm Equipment and Jelli’s Market.
The $50 registration fee covers admission, busing and meals. Additional funding for this event is provided by the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation-Jeanette Poulson Fund. Participants are responsible for their own hotel expenses. Information about graduate and undergraduate credits is available.
