Summary
Assembly Bill 463 and its companion, Senate Bill 368, would help streamline the permitting process of projects that impact a wetland. This legislation allows for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to concentrate their time and efforts on highly environmentally sensitive wetlands instead of marginal wetlands. This legislation would help to protect the highly environmentally senstive wetlands as well as protect habitat for various animal and aquatic species.
