Alissa Milonczyk will represent Wisconsin at the National Collegiate Discussion Meet on February 10 at the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Young Farmer & Rancher Leadership Conference in Phoenix, Arizona.
Milonczyk won the Wisconsin Collegiate Discussion Meet that took place on the UW-Platteville campus on November 16. That qualified her to compete nationally where the public roundtable format tests participants’ abilities to express their ideas and opinions on the hottest issues driving agriculture.
Milonczyk is a member of UW-Madison Collegiate Farm Bureau that was formed in 2010.
Milonczyk grew up in rural Stratford and is a junior majoring in animal science. Her goal is to attend UW-Madison’s School of Veterinary Medicine. She is a member of the Association of Women in Agriculture, Saddle and Sirloin, and Badger Dairy Club.
Last summer she worked as an intern at the Bovis Vet Service in Milladore.
