
The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation was named a recipient of a Green Bay Packers Foundation grant. The $3,500 grant will support the Wisconsin Agriculture in the Classroom program and its work to expand agriculture literacy across the state. The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation was part of 398 recipients and $1.5 million distributed across Wisconsin to programs focusing on arts and culture, athletics and education.
Agriculture in the Classroom Coordinator Beth Schaefer and Foundation Director John Hromyak attended the Green Bay Packers Foundation annual luncheon to accept the grant and represent Wisconsin Farm Bureau and its programs.
The Green Bay Packers Foundation has been giving back to Wisconsin’s communities since it was established in 1986 by Judge Robert J. Parins, then president of Green Bay Packers, Inc. “as a vehicle to assure continued contributions to charity.” It is a component of Green Bay Packers Give Back, the all-encompassing community outreach initiative.
The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation was established in 1988 to provide support for agricultural education and leadership programs. Through donations and other contributions, the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation invests time and resources to support the next generation of agriculturists.
