Rob Stafsholt of New Richmond has been endorsed by the Volunteers for Agriculture Committee for the 29th Assembly District. The VFA is the political action arm of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
“As a life-long resident of St. Croix County with four generations of farming in his background, Rob Stafsholt is going to be able to bring a strong and much-needed agricultural perspective to the State Capitol,” said Paul Zimmerman, Executive Director of Governmental Relations for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
“Thanks to the work and leadership of our local farmers who interviewed the candidates, they recognized that Rob stood out with his experience in agriculture and other small businesses he has successfully operated,” Zimmerman added. “Rob Stafsholt will be a huge asset to the people he will represent in the 29th Assembly District and Farm Bureau is proud to endorse him in his race for State Assembly.”
The 29th Assembly District consists of portions of Dunn and St. Croix counties. Stafsholt is a Republican seeking election on November 8.
The Volunteers for Agriculture Committee is comprised of 18 farmers from across the state, and was formed to give farmers a more direct role in electing leaders who best represent agriculture’s interests.
The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation is the state’s largest general farm organization with members of every farm size, commodity and management style.
