This Giving Tuesday, the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation is looking to inspire generosity from donors who wish to support agriculture education and leadership programs and activities for years to come.
Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement to support causes that matter most to people across the world. The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation is looking to inspire farmers, agriculturists, rural residents and others with a passion for agriculture to make a donation on Tuesday, December 1.
“This year wraps up our Centennial fundraising efforts to set a strong foundation for our programs that have been developed over the past 100 years, so they remain vibrant for generations to come,” shared WFBF Chief Administrative Officer Kim Pokorny. “Donations of all sizes have a remarkable impact on the programs and opportunities we are able to offers our members and future agriculture leaders.”
As Wisconsin Farm Bureau celebrates its Centennial, the organization has set a goal of raising $100,000 to celebrate 100 years of Farm Bureau by December 2020. Rural Mutual Insurance Company has agreed to match all donations ranging from $50 – $10,000, up to a total of $100,000.
Donations made to the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation fund programs like the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Leadership Institute, Young Farmer and Agriculturist activities and Promotion and Education efforts in addition to FFA and 4-H programs.
“The Leadership Institute helped build on my skillset as a leader in agriculture, Farm Bureau and my community,” said St. Croix County Farm Bureau member Leslie Svacina. “Today, I’m continuing to put to practice the communication and advocacy skills in my work as a farmer and collaborating with decision makers in my community.”
