Don Vruwink of Milton has been endorsed by the Volunteers for Agriculture Committee for the 43rd Assembly District. The VFA is the political action arm of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
“Having grown up on a dairy farm, Don Vruwink understands two things very well – agriculture and hard work,” said Rob Richard, Senior Director of Governmental Relations for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
“When Don was interviewed by our committee of local farmers in the 43rd Assembly District, he demonstrated a strong knowledge of agriculture and a determination to stand up for farm families at the State Capitol. Farm Bureau believes Don Vruwink is the best candidate for the 43rd Assembly District and is well prepared to tackle some of the toughest issues in the next biennium, including transportation funding, technical and agricultural education, water resource management and rural broadband.”
The 43rd Assembly District consists of portions of Dane, Jefferson, Rock and Walworth counties. Vruwink is a Democrat seeking election on November 8.
The Volunteers for Agriculture Committee is comprised of 18 farmers from across the state, and was formed to give farmers a more direct role in electing leaders who best represent agriculture’s interests.
