Patrick Snyder of Schofield has been endorsed by the Volunteers for Agriculture Committee for the 85th Assembly District. The VFA is the political action arm of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
“In the 85th Assembly District, our local committee of farmers and agriculturalists from Marathon County endorsed Patrick Snyder because he has a good grasp and appreciation of the challenges agriculture is facing” said Rob Richard, Senior Director of Governmental Relations for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
“Pat Snyder clearly understands that overburdensome government regulations can cost small-business owners like farmers, time, money and effort,” Richard added. “The VFA believes he is the best candidate in the race for the 85th Assembly District as the legislature prepares to tackle some key agricultural issues that need long-term solutions; including local transportation funding, rural broadband, nutrient management rules, and groundwater legislation.”
The 85th Assembly District is located in Marathon County. Snyder is a Republican seeking election on November 8.
The Volunteers for Agriculture Committee is comprised of 18 farmers from across the state, and was formed to give farmers a more direct role in electing leaders who best represent agriculture’s interests.
The Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation is the state’s largest general farm organization with members of every farm size, commodity and management style.
