Rob Stafsholt of New Richmond has been endorsed by the Volunteers for Agriculture® Committee for the 10th Senate District. The VFA is the political action arm of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
Stafsholt was endorsed because of his track record partnering with farmers to protect water and promote land stewardship. He is a strong advocate for Wisconsin’s rural communities. Stafsholt also has been a supporter of improving rural broadband access, roads and bridges.
The 10th Senate District consists of portions of Burnett, Dunn, Pierce, Polk and St. Croix counties. Stafsholt is seeking to be elected to represent the 10th Senate District in the Nov. 3 general election
The Volunteers for Agriculture® Committee is comprised of 18 farmers and agriculturists from around the state and was formed to give farmers a more direct role in electing leaders who best represent agriculture’s interests.
Ron Campbell says
Patty Schachtner has worked in healthcare for decades and backs laws to guarantee people can get coverage, if they have a pre-existing condition. As our Wisconsin State Senator, she has worked to support efforts to improve access to healthcare in rural farming areas. The survival of our family farms is directly affected by the work and financial impact of farm accidents and the health complications of farmers.
Her opponent, Assembly Member Rob Stafsholt voted repeatedly to let health insurers deny coverage to people with pre-existing conditions in Wisconsin and to allow insurance companies to charge people more for a pre-existing condition, if they lose their insurance. He also voted to give FoxConn up to three billion dollars in Wisconsin taxpayer money. Schachtner is more supportive of Wisconsin’s family farms by her record. The proof is in what they stand for and did for Wisconsin’s farmers.
