Applications are now available for Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s Young Farmer and Agriculturist program’s Farming for the Future and Outstanding Agriculture Professional awards.
The Farming for the Future Award recognizes members who own or work on a farm. The Outstanding Agriculture Professional Award recognizes members who have an off-farm career. Applicants are asked to share information about their role in agriculture, leadership experience and involvement in Farm Bureau.
“The Young Farmer and Agriculturist Committee is excited to recognize members excelling in agriculture careers through these award areas,” said WFBF YFA Chair Kat Peper. “We have outstanding members doing great things for agriculture and this is an opportunity for us to celebrate their efforts.”
Applications for both awards are available at bit.ly/WIYFAContests and will be accepted until June 1. The winner of each award will receive $1,500 courtesy of GROWMARK, Inc., a trip to attend the 2025 American Farm Bureau Federation FUSION Conference, will be eligible to participate in the 2025 YFA Washington, D.C. Fly-In and be a guest of the 2025 WFBF YFA Conference.
The WFBF YFA Program is for members ages 18-35. Its goal is to get more young farmers and agriculturists acquainted with and involved in Farm Bureau through involvement in a variety of networking, learning and social activities. The YFA Program is funded by the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Foundation.
