Addressing Issues Impacting Wisconsin Agriculture
Farm Bureau works together with farmers to address the top priority issues impacting Wisconsin’s agricultural community. The needs of agriculture are continually evolving, and Farm Bureau is committed to preserving the future of farming for the next generation of farmers.
Our membership is directly responsible for setting our policy agenda. Issues like agricultural road improvement, the need for Farm Bureau Health Plans, farm transition assistance and keeping farmland in production remain central to our legislative agenda.
Supporting Candidates Who Support Agriculture
Volunteers for Agriculture® is Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s political action committee. Dedicated to advancing the interests of farmers and rural communities, VFA plays an essential role in supporting and endorsing candidates who back agriculture.
By providing campaign contributions, running targeted outreach and activating grassroots members, VFA ensures the voices of Wisconsin farmers are heard at the local, state and federal levels. With a strong history of backing successful candidates, VFA is a powerful force for agriculture advocacy.
The VFA builds strong relationships with legislators of both parties to help achieve our legislative priorities.
The goals of the VFA include:
- Promoting the economic and social well-being of farmers, rural families and agricultural interests.
- Head off burdensome legislation and regulations.
- Advocate for farmers’ and agriculturists’ interests amid a changing social, economic and political climate.
