Crust:
1 cup shortening
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
2 t vanilla
1 t salt
1 t baking soda
2 1/2 cups flour
3 cups oatmeal
Chocolate Mixture:
2 T butter
1 can condensed milk
6 oz. chocolate chips
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix ingredients for crust a spread in bottom of 15×10 pan saving about 1/4 to sprinkle on top.
- Melt ingredients for chocolate mixture.
- Pour chocolate mixture over crust and sprinkle remaining crumb mixture on top.
- Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes until lightly browned.
