A:<\/strong> The Foundation funds Farm Bureau programming and supports activities and events throughout the year. These programs include:<\/p>\n A: <\/strong>Foundation-supported programs reach the next generation of farmers, agriculturists and Farm Bureau members. These programs are also impacting Farm Bureau members of all ages and across the state. <\/p>\n A: <\/strong>In fiscal year 2024, the Foundation is providing over $400,000 in program support. Without the Foundation\u2019s annual funding, programs would become considerably more costly or would need to be cut.<\/p>\n\t Glenwood City School District utilized Ag in ALL Classrooms funds to expand student awareness of food production through the techniques of hydroponic plant production. The students grew herbs for class and for use in the school lunch program. The program plans to partner with community groups to expand.hydroponic production to impact students district-wide. Funds are received throughout the year from:<\/p>\n A: <\/strong>The Foundation\u2019s primary goal is to increase fundraising to meet program funding needs. Without additional fundraising or a reduction in program support, the Foundation will spend into its reserves and can\u2019t sustainably operate long term.<\/p>\n To increase our fundraising levels, the foundation director and Board of Trustees are working to build our network of donors and sponsors, and diversify funding sources, including grants, sponsorships, estate giving and major gifts.<\/p>\n A: <\/strong>The foundation director is the main contact for the Foundation and is responsible for organizing and developing day-to-day fundraising efforts, including gifts, grants and sponsorships.<\/p>\n The Foundation Board of Trustees was constituted in 2024 to further build the network of support and serve as advisors and ambassadors.
