Ag Day at the Capitol is an annual event open to Wisconsin farmers and agriculturists to learn more about state issues affecting agriculture and meet with their state legislators. Rural Mutual Insurance Company and GROWMARK, Inc., are major sponsors of the event. Co-sponsors of the event, with Wisconsin Farm Bureau, include a variety of dairy, beef, pork, horse, corn, soybean, cranberry, potato and vegetable groups.
Ag Day at the Capitol 2025 will take place on Wednesday, March 26th!
This annual gathering offers a unique opportunity to connect with state legislators, learn about critical issues affecting agriculture, and advocate for policies that matter most to you and your farming community.
We’re thrilled to announce Brian Reisinger, author of “Land Rich, Cash Poor: My Family's Hope and the Untold History of the Disappearing American Farmer,” will deliver this year’s keynote address. With your registration, you’ll be entered for a chance to win one of 200 free copies of his book!
This year, we’ve made even more exciting updates to the event! The Monona Terrace program has been shortened to allow time to explore the Agriculture Showcase, a new outdoor section, open to the public, on the 100 block of MLK Blvd featuring agricultural equipment, dairy calves, free cheese and more! Inside the Capitol Rotunda, you’ll find Farm Bureau spotlight booths, Ag Coalition partners and a hydraulic sprayer simulator—a hands-on, motion activated, video game-like experience!
Ag Day at the Capitol Schedule:
- 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. - Lunch, informational sessions and keynote speaker at Monona Terrace
- Presentations will cover farm priorities in the upcoming budget and legislative session, along with actionable ways to advocate for agriculture in Wisconsin.
- 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. - Agriculture Showcase at the Wisconsin State Capitol, featuring outdoor exhibits on MLK Blvd and indoor exhibits inside the Capitol Rotunda
Your participation in Ag Day at the Capitol 2025 can help shape policies that strengthen Wisconsin’s agricultural future. Don’t miss this chance to connect with leaders, engage in important conversations and make a difference.
