Dan Feyen of Fond du Lac has been endorsed by the Volunteers for Agriculture Committee for the 18th State Senate district. The VFA is the political action arm of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
“Dan Feyen has a strong background in small-business management and clearly understands the burden that undue and overreaching regulations can put on a small business trying to thrive and grow,” said Rob Richard, Senior Director of Governmental Relations for the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation.
“Dan recognizes farms for what they are – family-owned businesses trying to cut through ever-increasing government red tape to produce safe and healthy food for a growing population. Dan also has a firm understanding that agriculture is part of a global network that relies on good roads, high-speed broadband connectivity and a technically-skilled workforce.”
The 18th State Senate district consists of portions of Winnebago and Fond du Lac counties. Feyen is a Republican seeking election on November 8.
The Volunteers for Agriculture Committee is comprised of 18 farmers from across the state, and was formed to give farmers a more direct role in electing leaders who best represent agriculture’s interests.
