About National Ag Day:
National Ag Day is held in March each year to bring attention to and celebrate the important role agriculture plays in our daily life. Wisconsin Farm Bureau and the Wisconsin Ag in the Classroom program invite you to start a conversation about the role farmers play in providing food, fuel and fiber not only in our state, but across the nation and globe. Find out how you can join the celebration.
Nominate A Farmer:
Do you know someone who embodies this year’s National Ag theme, “Agriculture: Food for Life”? Nominate him or her to win an award!
Finalists will be selected by the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation’s Promotion and Education Committee and will be featured on social media with the winner being selected by popular vote on Facebook. The top three finalists will receive Culver’s coupons with the overall winner receiving $50 to Blain’s Farm & Fleet.
*The deadline has passed to submit nominations. Stay tuned for the finalist announcement.
Wisconsin Farm Bureau is once again encouraging farmers and consumers alike to download a #WIAgProud sign, print it and share a photo holding the sign on social media explaining why you are proud to be a farmer or proud of the work that farmers do. Don’t forget to include #WIAgProud with your post. Anyone who participates will have his or her name placed in a drawing to receive a Culver’s coupon. *Please note only public posts will be considered.
Farmers on Facebook Live:
Join Wisconsin Farm Bureau members as they discuss their careers in agriculture. This is a great opportunity for high school and college students in addition to those looking to learn more about what a career in agriculture might look like. The career panel will be live on Thursday, March 14 at 1:30 p.m. on the Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation Facebook page.
