Kim Vanden Avond serves on the Brown County Farm Bureau board and is the Women’s Committee chair. She’s attended the Wisconsin Ag Women’s Summit, the District 6 Fall Women’s Summit, is involved with Our Food Link activities and has helped with the Beef Marathon. Kim enjoys being on the board of the Brown County Antiquarian Society and she is a business owner of R&R Drapery. Her hobbies include charity work, puzzles, reading, jet ski riding and hunting ducks and geese.
When asked what makes her excited about the future of women in agriculture, she responded by saying that women are taking on more leadership and management in agriculture today. Technology is helping make our life easier in many ways. Kim said that her favorite thing to do is enjoy time with her family.
